A few years ago [when such things were possible] I sat in a corner of the chapel with two teenagers- one struggling with the divorce of parents, and both deeply grieving over the sudden death of another teenager we knew. I just said "Lord this is crap. Be with us and get us through it, for Jesus' sake Amen" ... and then realised they were both agog that the Pastor's wife used such language in a prayer. Was that allowed? But the discussion that followed was amazing!
