I would like to know how each of these interact with the old Jewish commentaries (Rashi, etc.). Also, I know there is a very big difference, but Waltke has just published a couple of volumes which do interact with some of the older Christian commentaries. Perhaps there is no comparison?

Hello Michael. Good to hear from you. The NICOT volume makes no reference to Rashi in the indices; Goldingay does interact with Rashi in all three of his volumes, most heavily in vol 1. I have the Waltke volumes and yes indeed they are a treasure house for the history of Christian interpretation for the Psalms the three authors treat (13 in Psalms as Christian Worship and 10 in Psalms as Christian Lament). In that sense he models such a history of Christian interpretation. Compared to all the commentaries I discussed in the review Waltke's treatment is much more substantial, 30 pages per psalm on average and ranging up to 50 pasges for Psalm 139. Clearly a full scale commentary in this style would be multi-volume, and a massive exegetical task.
The first volume of Susan Gillingham's Blackwell Commentary Psalms Through the Centuries is a thorough account of the reception and interpretation of the Psalms, and includes several pages on Rashi and Kimchi pages 82-87.
