Catriona

I love that hymn!

Odd connections, as at one point I trained alongside Caryl Micklem's daughter and of course have REO's widow in my congregation.

It is a sad fact that many young ministers-in-training have not learned the art of public prayer, and so outpour their personal trash on congregations who may know no other. Back in the day, we spent hours at college being taught how to craft prayers and thinking about what it is we are doing - is that still the case? And if so, how come so often the minds/hearts of students appear to be stony ground in this regard?
