My favourite too. And this Advent has brought a new anthem by John McIntosh - a setting of one of my Advent poem/prayers from a few years ago. It has its first performance at Evensong on Advent 2. I can't tell you how amazing it is to hear others sing words I have written - makes my hair stand on end!

Chris that's a wonderful Advent Gift - both to you, and from you to the Church. I hope it brings you and the congregation hopeful joy. And before I order my zimmer, it would be good to meet for that long anticipated coffee, itself a metaphor for Advent waiting:) More seriously, the shalom of the Prince of Peace surround us all.


I was thinking that as I wrote - that, and the fact that I'd said last year we should collaborate on RST and then let life swamp me. What about next year in Glasgow? Maybe February? (I'm taking a holiday in January) Surely ....
