Well put Jim, I agree whole heartedly.

A prison chaplain friend of mine tells me that prisons generally do whatever they can to get people paroled before they die because the impact on other prisoners of someone dying inside is enormous and damaging. I guess that isn't on HM government's radar though.

Currently there is a simply horrid culture in this country - it revolves around thinking well of yourself and poorly of everybody else. Anger and a total lack of forgiveness any any attempt to understand those who have done anything wrong. I hate it. I long for the Wisdon of Father Brown, who because he knew his own sins, could discover the sins of others.
